About Permanent Offering – ANP
In the Permanent Offering system, the ANP offers some specific types of areas. These include returned fields or those in the process of being returned and exploratory blocks offered in previous bids and not awarded.
New exploratory oil blocks under study at the agency are also part of the bidding process. Only areas in the pre-salt, strategic areas, or those located on the Continental Shelf beyond 200 nautical miles are excluded.
Bento Albuquerque, Minister of Mines and Energy, emphasized the federal government’s intention to include exploratory oil areas from the pre-salt in this type of bidding in the near future.
