For Those Who Dream of Studying or Working Outside Brazil, It Just Got Easier to Live in Spain Due to a Change in Regulation, Check It Out.

Have you ever thought about studying or working outside Brazil? This is the dream of many people, but with so many immigration rules, this dream can end up being forgotten. However, the current news may make you reconsider living in Spain, as the country has just announced a relaxation of entry requirements for Brazilians, and we’ve provided more detailed information related to this.

A Great Opportunity to Live in Spain

It was recently announced that Spain is facilitating the entry of immigrants into its territory. Thus, those who want to work or study outside Brazil can do so in a more accessible manner.

According to recent data, the measure is expected to benefit those already residing in Spain and also increase the hiring of more foreigners coming directly from their home countries.

Recently, data indicates that approximately 5.5 million foreigners, with more than a third being Latin Americans, live or want to live in Spain.

Spain plans to ease access for students to the job market by relaxing immigration requirements for families and developing the concept of a training visa. This is very important, considering that many people live in Spain but cannot find a job due to the lack of residence permits and cannot apply for one because they do not have an employment connection. Thus, foreigners find themselves in an endless loop that generates no benefits for either party.

Brazilian Students Will Be Able to Live in Spain and Work Up to 30 Hours a Week

With the reforms in the Immigration Law for those who want to study outside Brazil, the process can become much less bureaucratic and benefit many people.

First of all, foreign students enrolled in schools and universities in the country should be among the main beneficiaries of this measure. Until now, those who did not have a student visa for undergraduate studies could not work outside Brazil to support their education.

Now, with the new regulations, these individuals can work up to 30 hours per week, and even after finishing their studies, they can live in Spain for another year without needing to extend their visa.

Another significant change that may benefit those wishing to study and work outside Brazil is the so-called Training Visa created for individuals who have been in Spain for at least two years.

These individuals can obtain a 12-month residence permit, provided they commit to undergoing regulated training for employment. Inspired by a model existing in Germany called “duldung,” the aim is to reach individuals in irregular situations who can gain access to the labor market in Brazil.

Finally, there is also flexibility for hiring foreigners outside Spain, meaning that from now on, workers can apply for a four-year permit to work outside Brazil for up to 9 months a year. However, they must return to their home countries after each period, and if they comply with the rules, they can apply for a two-year residence and work permit.

Brazilian Driver’s License Can Be Valid in Other Countries

Another positive aspect for those wishing to live in Spain is that the Brazilian Driver’s License will also be valid for Brazilian citizens living in other countries.

The decision, announced by Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the President of Portugal, surprised all Brazilians. Before this approval, only citizens from the European Union, Norway, the United Kingdom, and Iceland could live in the country and drive with the document issued in their home country.
