ANP Denies BW Energy’s Request for Royalty Reduction
ANP denied BW Energy’s (BW Offshore) request for a royalty reduction for Maromba. The agency claimed that the Campos Basin asset does not meet the criteria of resolution 749/2018, which encompasses the incentive for production in mature fields.
The Maromba field originates from block BC-20 awarded to Petrobras in Round Zero and is located in shallow waters south of the Campos Basin near the Peregrino and Papa-Terra fields, which are currently in production.
