ANP denies BW Energy's request for royalty reduction
The ANP denied BW Energy's (BW Offshore) request to reduce Maromba's royalties. The agency claimed that the Campos Basin asset does not meet the criteria of resolution 749/2018, which includes incentives for production in mature fields.
The Maromba field comes from the BC-20 block awarded to Petrobras in Round Zero and is located in shallow waters to the south of the Campos Basin, close to the Peregrino and Papa-Terra fields, which are currently in production.
BW Energy is an oil and gas company focused on the growth, acquisition, development and production of oil and natural gas fields. The company is present in the main oil regions of the world: in Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe.
