The Suzano Factory in Espírito Santo
The factory will be responsible for converting tissue paper, produced at the Mucuri Unit (BA), into double and triple-ply hygienic papers under the Mimmo and Max Pure brands. These products will mainly meet the demand from markets in the Southeast region with a 30% increase in Suzano’s finished product capacity.
Luis Bueno, the Executive Director of Consumer Goods and Institutional Relations at Suzano, stated during the inauguration of the factory in March, that both lines were already in operation with a high level of productivity. He says this is a significant increase in the capacity to supply double and triple-ply hygienic papers to Brazilian consumers, product lines that have been growing the most in the country.
The unit will also have 170 employees, of whom approximately 60% are from the southern Espírito Santo region. As part of Suzano’s premise to value diversity and inclusion, 34% of the about 80 employees already active at the site are women, and 33% of them are Black.
