Suzano's factory in Espírito Santo
The factory will be responsible for converting tissue paper, produced at the Mucuri Unit (BA), into double and triple ply toilet paper under the Mimmo and Max Pure brands. These products will mainly meet the demand of markets in the Southeast region based on a 30% increase in Suzano's finished products capacity.
Luis Bueno, Executive Director of Consumer Goods and Institutional Relations at Suzano, said, during the inauguration of the factory in March, that both lines were already in operation and with a high level of productivity. He says that this is a relevant increase in the ability to offer double and triple ply toilet paper to Brazilian consumers, product lines that have grown the most in the country.
The unit will also have 170 employees, of which approximately 60% are from the southern region of Espírito Santo. As part of Suzano's premise of valuing diversity and inclusion, 34% of the approximately 80 employees already working at the site are women and 33% of them are black.
