The Brazilian Automotive Market Is About to Receive a Significant Boost in 2024 with the Arrival of Four New Car Brands. Among the News Are Brands from China and Vietnam Bringing Innovative and Technologically Advanced Electric Vehicles.

The year 2024 will be significant for the automotive sector in Brazil with the arrival of these new brands, especially in the electric vehicle segment. These companies promise to bring innovations and diverse options for Brazilian consumers, although prices are still a challenge for most buyers. The arrival of these new players in the market will certainly heat up competition and may accelerate the development of electric vehicle infrastructure in the country.

The first brand to be highlighted is VinFast from Vietnam. Known for its high technology and partnerships with companies like BMW and General Motors, VinFast focuses on electric vehicles. The VF7, VF8, and VF9 models, which offer advanced technologies and attractive design, will be available in the Brazilian market. These vehicles have prices starting at R$ 200,000 and promise ranges varying between 430 and 540 km.

Zeekr – Geely’s Chinese Subsidiary

Zeekr, a brand derived from the Chinese group Geely (which also owns Volvo and Lotus), plans to bring the Zeekr 001 model to Brazil. This car features an electric motor with 544 horsepower and a range of up to 540 km. The Zeekr X, using the same platform as the Volvo EX30, is also expected to be launched in Brazil.

Radar – Focused on Offroad Vehicles

Also from the Geely group, Radar has a differentiated approach, focusing on electric offroad vehicles. The brand plans to launch a large pickup truck in Brazil with a range of 640 km and the ability to tow up to 3 tons, but with a load limitation of 450 kg in the bed.

Hozon and Neta GT – Chinese Innovation

The last brand to enter the Brazilian market is Hozon, also from China. This vehicle promises high-level performance, with a price above R$ 400,000.
