The scholarships are part of a wide range of partnerships that the foundation maintains with several institutions and universities that promote and support education both domestically and internationally. In addition to Columbia, Harvard, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), there are partners such as the Central Única das Favelas and the Fundação Estudar.

Understand More About Scholarships at Universities Outside Brazil

To apply for the foundation’s opportunities, one must be a Brazilian student or a resident of the country, and the candidates must be accepted into the programs that partner with Behring. The profile of the scholarship holders, referred to as Behring Fellows, should demonstrate the goal of transforming the country through innovation and technology, along with a commitment to Brazil.

Additionally, students must show this potential through their background. It is worth noting that the scholarships at the universities are renewable and cover the entire duration of the courses. For doctoral and master’s degrees, there are both full and partial scholarships, and for undergraduate studies, the grants cover all the costs of the program.

Besides the scholarships at Columbia and Harvard, and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the Behring Foundation also collaborates with the Lemann Foundation, which allows scholarship recipients to participate in international initiatives and activities related to the two foundations.
