GE signed a contract to supply engines for the four water injection pumps that will equip Modec's FPSO
GE Power, an American energy technology company, closed a contract with the industrial engineering company, Sulzer Pumps Uk, to supply motors for the four water injection pumps that in the future will be for the future FPSOs of Modec, a Japanese company that provides services to the oil and natural gas industry, which will operate in Brazil. Oil multinational Modec will generate 600 jobs in Brazil to complete the work on the FPSO's under construction
Good news for shipbuilding in Brazil, the multinational Modec estimates that by 2024 it will generate 600 new jobs for the onshore and offshore areas in the country, an expansion of 25% of its workforce.
Currently, the oil multinational operates 10 FPSOs in Brazil and is building five more platforms for the Brazilian offshore market.
On its way to Brazil, the FPSO Carioca MV30 will be the first unit to start operating, the platform vessel will produce in the Sépia field, an area of transfer of rights in the Santos Basin operated by Petrobras.
