The State Government of SP is Expanding the Gas Voucher Program. The Program Received an Investment of R$ 128 Million So That More Than 426.9 Thousand Families Can Acquire Cooking Gas

The State Government of SP announced this Tuesday (3) the expansion of the Gas Voucher, which will now benefit more than 426.9 thousand low-income families throughout the State, equivalent to over 2 million people receiving cooking gas. A total of R$ 128 million was invested in this food security action.

Governor of SP Speaks

According to João Doria, Governor of SP, this is a unique moment in the State of SP. The gas voucher will now help 2 million people who lost their source of income due to the arrival of Covid-19 and need support.

Doria states that the gas voucher from the SP government is an essential social program in the lives of families in vulnerable situations, as the assistance helps the population secure the basic preparation of their food.

The assistance of R$ 300 is divided into 3 installments of R$ 100 every two months and is ensuring the purchase of cooking gas for families in extreme poverty and poverty, who have a per capita income of up to R$ 178 per month, and who are registered in CadÚnico. Upon its launch, the SP government program prioritized families living in slums and communities, high-risk areas with little infrastructure.
