China Launches New Popular Electric Car That Can Change The Electric Vehicle Market. Model Features 300 Km Range And State-Of-The-Art Technology.
When it comes to popular electric cars, China has one of the most comprehensive markets with high volumes recorded, precisely the result of the abundant offering of compact and subcompact models for sale at very attractive prices. Therefore, if we consider that the revenue model has worked in China, it could also work in India, a market that seems destined to follow in the footsteps of the Chinese, just a decade later or less.
New Popular Electric Car Weighs Less Than A Ton
In summary, the fact is that the Chinese believe they have what it takes to apply this market in India. And it is with this in mind that the MG Comet emerged, a compact vehicle that aims to become a best-seller in New Delhi and surrounding areas.
The MG Comet is manufactured and sold in India by MG Motor India, a vehicle manufacturer that, as one might guess, is linked to MG and, thus, to SAIC Motors, which owns the company. It is not a new vehicle, but derives from the Wuling Air EV, which differs mainly in the various badges on the hood. Perhaps another illustrious “Wuling” wants to follow the same path, as the HuangGuang Mini EV was the best-selling zero-emission vehicle in the world in 2020.

‘We will not survive,’ says Toyota’s CEO: the manufacturer of the world’s best-selling cars like Corolla and Yaris Cross feels the weight of its own perfectionism and rushes to avoid being ‘swallowed’ by China.

Cheaper than a latest-generation iPhone, these 5 used cars combine low maintenance, easily found parts, and prices starting from less than R$ 8,000.

Amid the tension between the US and China, Democratic senators warn Trump about the risk of an irreversible crisis by allowing Chinese automakers in the country.

It became R$ 10,000 cheaper! The new version of the Citroën C3 features new tires, reduces consumption, improves comfort, and enters the competition among popular cars.
The popular electric car is set to debut as the smallest electric car available in the country. The model is available in two variants: one with a short wheelbase, which has a total length of 2.6 meters, and another with a long wheelbase, which reaches 2.97 meters.
The two versions of the model weigh 760 and 860 kg, respectively. The MG Comet, which was developed primarily for urban transportation, has a starting price of approximately 11,500 euros, equivalent to R$ 63,500 in direct conversion.
Electric Car Derived From Wuling Air EV Has A Range Of Up To 300 Km
Although it is a popular electric car, it has an almost premium feel, given the presence of a 10”25” central screen and a highly advanced data and entertainment system capable of interacting with apps. Regarding the powertrain, the popular electric car is powered by a 68-horsepower electric motor fed by a battery supplied by Tata Autocomp, a subsidiary of Tata Motors, of approximately 20 – 25 kWh, which generates a range of up to 300 km. The vehicle, which surprisingly is compatible with fast charging systems, reaches a top speed of 100 km/h.
In addition to its significance, MG’s electric vehicle is also essential, as it is the first model from the joint venture SAIC, General Motors, and Wuling to be sold outside of China. The company has orchestrated everything with the support of MG India, driven by the company’s desire to explore the Indian market with an expansion operation that will cost US$ 650 million.
