Itaú Has Dozens of New Positions in Free Programming Courses. According to the Company, Students Who Excel During the Program Will Be Hired to Work in the Technology Team.
Itaú opened, last Saturday, registrations for its Itaú Devs Bootcamp, a training program in technology. In this edition, the institution is offering 30 exclusive vacancies for people with disabilities. Those selected will receive free programming courses that will last nine months, including theoretical and practical stages, with involvement in the bank’s business.
Requirements to Participate in Itaú’s Free Technology Courses
The Itaú program is completely free and all selected participants will be hired by the bank from the first day of training. In the last two years, the institution has conducted 12 Itaú Devs Bootcamps, with exclusive editions for women, Black individuals, transgender people, mixed-race individuals, and people with disabilities. In total, more than 400 people have been hired and trained and are currently part of the company’s technology team.
Through initiatives like this, Itaú doubled the representation of people with disabilities in its technology area in the last year, increasing from 280 at the end of 2020 to 560 in December 2021.

People from all over the country can apply for the Itaú free programming courses and no prior experience in technology is required. The requirements are to be over 18 years old and available to work 8 hours daily from Monday to Friday, during business hours. Additionally, it is necessary to attach a medical report that describes the disability at the time of registration.
Visual Impairment: Medical report necessary with data on the visual acuity of both eyes, with the best optical correction or data on the measurement of the visual field of both eyes.
Hearing Impairment: Presentation of an audiometry exam that proves hearing loss, partial or total, of 41 dB or more, in the frequencies from 500 Hz to 3,000 Hz, is required.
Physical Disability: Detailed medical report necessary describing the irreversible physical limitation and quantifying the associated functional deficits.
Learn How to Register for Itaú’s Free Programming Courses
Interested individuals must access Itaú’s career site by January 1st. In addition to registering on the site, it will be necessary to send the required documents. Those selected will be trained in programming logic, AWS, and Java.
The first 3 months of the program will focus on theoretical training and involvement in Itaú projects. After that period, the professional will spend six months working in residence with the team they were hired for to apply everything they learned in the free technology courses.
