The New Jobs Created by Nestlé at the New Factory in the State
The initial forecast is that around 200 jobs will be created in the coming years, and during the installation stages, more than 1,800 subcontracted workers will be hired for the implementation and development of the park. The project will accelerate Purina’s growth in a strategic market for the Nestlé Group.
The industrial park will have a structure designed to accommodate further phases of expansion and installation of additional production lines for wet and dry food and other technologies in the pet food industry, with the potential to quadruple its structure, which will initially be built in Vargeão. To meet the potential of the enterprise, the company is prospecting a private area in the municipality of Vargeão, located in the Western region of Santa Catarina.
Marcel de Barros, CEO of Nestlé Purina in Brazil, says they are confident they will bring this important investment to the state of Santa Catarina. According to Marcel, the location where the new factory will be installed is strategic for accelerating growth. They also understood that the new factory, due to its complementarity, will create value for the region’s productive chains with the increased demand for inputs from the existing agribusiness, concludes the CEO.
