The Chinese company Okai announced this week the launch of the new model of electric scooter, the Okai EA10A. The electric scooter or electric bike runs at approximately 25 km/h and can circulates easily in urban areas. The best part? You invest little in the purchase and don’t need a license to ride it. Besides being practical, it has pedals in case the battery runs out, is foldable, takes up little space, and is available in pink, white, and gray.

The scooter is already available for sale on various sites, with varying prices. Those looking to purchase the electric scooter will find it priced at US$ 399, which is approximately R$ 2,063 at the exchange rate. For industrial orders, meaning for those who wish to purchase more than 200 units for resale, the price drops to US$ 359, about R$ 1,855.

The Okai EA10A could be considered an electric bike in Brazil. This is good for those who want to save: it means it doesn’t require a license and is quite “affordable.”

Recently launched by Honda, the U-GO is an electric scooter that costs US$ 1,150, however, the Scooter U-BE came to market at a much more accessible price, costing only US$ 475, equivalent to R$ 2,572 in direct conversion. The model, which is attracting the attention of consumers, is priced much lower than many smartphones and is considered practically a bicycle, given its maximum speed limit of 25 km/h.

With the cost of a mid-range smartphone, the Honda electric bike, even though it may not be very powerful, has been a huge attraction for consumers, as it is already basically a tradition in the country to use bicycles.
