The Japanese Nissan Confirms That Its Nissan Leaf Will Join the Car Sharing Service of Itaú Bank
The Japanese automaker Nissan announced that it intends to support the electric car sharing service of Itaú Bank. This is another step from the company in its electrification project in Brazil. The company promises to lend its Nissan Leaf, which has been in the country since 2019, to Itaú’s Vec program.

Nissan knows that this is a way to showcase the efficiency of electric cars, as a large part of consumers will be able to experience this type of technology. Similar to Bike Itaú, the new electric mobility service from Itaú will allow users to “unlock” the cars at stations directly through their smartphones, being able to return them at another or the same charging station.
In addition to leading electric cars, Nissan also aims to advance research and development of the lifecycle of an electric car in the country. The company has closed several partnerships, such as with the rental company Movida, which plans to make the Nissan Leaf available for short and long-term rental.

According to the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing of Nissan Brazil, Tiago Castro, the partnership with Itaú is another step in the company’s project to bring electric cars to the country.
The company started in the sector in 2012 in the country, and in 2019 expanded to the start of sales of the Nissan Leaf. He states that the best way to understand electric cars is to use them in daily life, so the company always seeks opportunities for more people to experience its electric models.
According to the Itaú director, the world is always transforming, just like the way people move. Thus, he states that the bank intends to add value through an innovative, technological, safe, and sustainable experience, as well as promote the use of electric cars in Brazil.
Nissan Leaf with Incredible Specifications
The Nissan electric has been in Brazil since 2019 and features a 149 horsepower motor and 32.6 kgfm of torque. The vehicle can go from 0 to 100 km/h in an impressive 7.9 seconds and can reach speeds of up to 144 km/h. The 40 kWh battery gives the Nissan Leaf a range of 389 km according to the WLTP standard.
