Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry on Fuel.
Coordination with the Federal Government will be made by the president of the Mixed Parliamentary Front of Independent and Celetist Truck Drivers and also federal deputy, Nereu Crispim (PSL-RS). The group consists of 22 senators and 273 federal deputies.
At the end of last month, the group released a document requesting the creation of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry on Fuel (CPI). The request came right after Petrobras announced an increase of approximately 9% in diesel at the refineries.
According to the Front, in the document released, it is necessary to urgently uncover the “secret” of the unrestrained increases in cooking gas and fuel prices. The fact is that there is a solution for balancing prices, but there is a lack of coherent management. If the state-owned company used the international parity price, refineries would be operating at full capacity and such imports would not be utilized.
