Crane Operator
Location: Rio de Janeiro, RJ
Experience
Experience on PLSV, DSV, and RSV vessels;
Crane Operator Level III Certificate;
CBSP; Load Handling and NR-35 Course;
Desirable experience in Subsea Operations;
Knowledge
Technical knowledge of equipment, materials, and onboard operations;
Knowledge of national and international codes that govern your activity;
Desirable Intermediate English – verbal and written knowledge;
Skills
Teamwork skills;
Tasks Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Comply with and enforce what is described in the “Permanent Orders of the Commander” and the “Permanent Orders of the Chief Engineer”;
- When assigned on board also as a foreman, the crane operator must assume all responsibilities indicated in the job descriptions of foreman and crane operator;
- Operate all cranes on board the vessel;
- Perform maintenance on the cranes according to TM Master and the demands of the Chief Engineers;
- Perform maintenance on the vessel’s hoisting equipment;
- Report technical issues to the Chief Engineer;
- Night watch when in port;
- When designated, stay on watch duty on the bridge;
- Assist crew handling when necessary and manage alongside the bridge;
