TechnipFMC charters vessel PLSV Skandi Vitoria, built in Brazil
The Skandi Vitoria PLSV is owned by a 50-50 joint venture between DOF Subsea and TechnipFMC. It is of the type STX OSCV 06 and is the first pipelayer built in Brazil in 2010.
The vessel is equipped with vertical and horizontal pipe installation systems, a 250 mt crane, and two ROVs. It is capable of operating in water depths of up to 3,000 meters and is suitable for pipe laying, subsea construction, and installation and maintenance work.
To recall, the last reported contract for the Skandi Vitoria was in January 2017. The Brazilian oil company Petrobras had granted the Skandi Vitoria a contract for 532 days.
