Engine Room Operator – Offshore/Rio de Janeiro, RJ
Responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the main power plant on board.
Some of the responsibilities include: Compliance with Seadrill’s Code of Conduct; Compliance with applicable internal and external governmental requirements; Ensuring that no operation exceeds the limitations of the unit or its equipment; A detailed daily planning is conducted for all future operations; Good and clear communication with all parties involved.
Compliance with Seadrill’s training, certification, and competency requirements; Ensuring all emergency equipment is in good condition and configured as necessary; Non-conformities are promptly addressed and reported to the direct supervisor.
Safe and efficient execution of operational, maintenance, and repair activities; Continuous monitoring of power consumption and distribution; All drills and checks are performed as necessary; All applicable reports and logs, as required by the direct supervisor, are maintained; The engine room is kept tidy and in good working condition; Detailed handovers are provided at each daily shift change; Other tasks are carried out as necessary and/or directed by the direct supervisor.
