Seeking to promote the use of vehicular natural gas (GNV), the government of Pernambuco, through the Entrepreneurship Agency and Copergás, launched a plan on Wednesday (10) to encourage the use of the fuel in the state. The package includes a line of credit called CredAGE Kit Gás. The benefit consists of a R$ 100 voucher for refueling with gas and also a 5% discount on conversions. The measures from Copergás and the Government aim to offer benefits to app drivers and taxi drivers, as well as self-employed professionals who use their vehicles as a source of income.

Copergás Comments on the Initiative Regarding the Fuel
André Campos, president of Copergás, highlighted the importance of developing incentives for the use of Natural Gas Vehicular (GNV) by app drivers and taxi drivers.
According to the company president, at this time of rising fuel prices, GNV is an option that everyone is seeking to reduce costs. The entities, under the guidance of Governor Paulo Câmara, are working to contribute to the recovery of the state’s economy and the population.
Also present at the launch were Alberes Lopes, State Secretary of Labor, Employment and Qualification, Antonio Moraes, State Deputy, representatives from the Retail Fuel Trade Union, among others.
Learn Who Can Apply for the Credit Line for GNV Use
The Copergás credit line can be applied for by both individuals and legal entities, requiring at least one year of operation. For those who are app drivers, it is necessary to have an evaluation of 4.7 stars in their profile and present application screenshots that prove the evaluation, number of trips, and time of operation on the application.
Additionally, the activity must be legally regularized in the municipality of origin. Those interested in registering must access the agency’s website. The site also provides more details about the required guarantees and necessary documents.
The first 200 applicants for the financing will receive a R$ 100 voucher for refueling with the fuel. Furthermore, those who register will also receive a 5% discount for the installation of the gas kit at accredited workshops.
