Petrobras’ new business plan will continue to include investments in the Campos Basin, affirmed the company’s Executive Director of Exploration and Production, Carlos Alberto de Oliveira, during a conference with foreign analysts.
“The projects for the renewal of the Campos Basin are very resilient to low prices and are viable below the barrel price target of US$ 35 that we have set for the company. I can say that we will continue to invest in this basin, where we see a lot of potential,” said the executive.
In addition to attracting jobs, investments in the region will also provide revitalization of this part of the basin. The areas allocated by Petrobras are in shallow waters, in the Campos Basin, where, according to ANP, production has dropped by 50% over the last 10 years.
