Renault And Nissan Are Committed To Working Together In The Future On The Production, Research And Development Of A Pickup That Will Be A Strong Competitor To The Current Fiat Toro, Chevrolet Montana And Ford Maverick
Renault And Nissan, two major automakers, have acknowledged that they are already working on developing a new compact-medium pickup in Argentina to compete with models from other manufacturers such as the Fiat Toro, Chevrolet Montana and Ford Maverick.
This new pickup, which may replace the Oroch, will be manufactured in the city of Córdoba, the same one that currently produces the Alaskan and Frontier pickups. Renault and Nissan are committed to working together in the future on the production, research and development of pickups, and there is still a chance that the next model will come with an electric or hybrid variant.
Recently, Renault and Nissan announced the reorganization of their alliance, which has existed for almost 25 years, with a 1% increase in shareholding. This is one of the measures taken to strengthen the partnership, which was weakened following the departure of former CEO Carlos Ghosn.

Nissan Promises Electric Cars With Solid-State Batteries That Recharge 3 Times Faster Than Conventional Ones
Renault and Nissan also validated the sale of two small electric cars that were manufactured on the CMF-AEV platform. Although there is no mention of new models at Nissan’s factory in Brazil or Renault’s factory in São José dos Pinhais, more information is expected to be made available soon.
Nissan plans to start manufacturing and implementing solid-state batteries in its electric cars in 2028, with experimental production starting in 2025 and full production in 2026. The vice president of Research and Development emphasized the importance of the brand’s specific plans, as well as the benefits that can be derived from the use of such technological advances.
According to the statement, the newest solid-state batteries for electric cars have a charging capacity three times faster than previous models, with power that can reach 400 kW.
