Renault And Nissan Are Committed To Working Together In The Future On The Production, Research And Development Of A Pickup That Will Be A Strong Competitor To The Current Fiat Toro, Chevrolet Montana And Ford Maverick
Renault And Nissan, two major automakers, have acknowledged that they are already working on developing a new compact-medium pickup in Argentina to compete with models from other manufacturers such as the Fiat Toro, Chevrolet Montana and Ford Maverick.
This new pickup, which may replace the Oroch, will be manufactured in the city of Córdoba, the same one that currently produces the Alaskan and Frontier pickups. Renault and Nissan are committed to working together in the future on the production, research and development of pickups, and there is still a chance that the next model will come with an electric or hybrid variant.
Recently, Renault and Nissan announced the reorganization of their alliance, which has existed for almost 25 years, with a 1% increase in shareholding. This is one of the measures taken to strengthen the partnership, which was weakened following the departure of former CEO Carlos Ghosn.
