The chosen factory is in Sorocaba, SP and the investment will be due to the implementation of the production line of a new Toyota car
With constant investments in SP, the Japanese vehicle manufacturer Toyota announced this Thursday (19/09), that it will invest around R$ 1 billion in its factory in Sorocaba.
Investment is for the implementation of a production line for a car expected to be launched in the Brazilian market in 2021. Petrobras raises diesel and gasoline prices today at refineries!
The factory in Sorocaba (SP) was chosen precisely because, in the initial project, it already had possibilities for expansion and also because it already has a good chain of suppliers nearby, which facilitates logistics.
The factory has been in operation since 2012 and already produces the brand's Etios and Yaris models. Toyota did not disclose further details about the new car or the launch date.
However, as found by UOL Carros, the novelty is a compact SUV, derived from a low-cost concept by Daihatsu (a brand belonging to Toyota), and that manufacturing begins in March 2021.
