Toyota Developed An Electric Car Targeted At Young People And The Elderly. The C+pod Has A Top Speed Of 60 Km/h And A Range Of 150 Km. Moreover, The Model Can Be Charged In Just 5 Hours

Launched Last Year In Japan, The Toyota C+pod Is One Of The Brand’s Initiatives To Achieve CO2-free Mobility By 2035. Until Then, Sold Only To Government Agencies And Businesses, The Electric Car Is Now Available For Final Consumers Since Last Week At A Price Of Approximately R$ 79,590. For Now, The C+pod Will Be Available In Japan Through A Leasing Contract Via Toyota Dealerships And Toyota Rental & Lease Agencies Across The Country. According To The Manufacturer, The Contract Allows The Use Of The Electric Car While Simultaneously Ensuring Comprehensive Vehicle Collection With Proactive 3R Initiatives For The Onboard Batteries.

On The Outside, The Electric Car Is Attractive Due To Its Small Size, Which Is A Bit Larger Than A Renault Twizy. The Model Measures 2.49 Meters In Length, 1.55 Meters In Height, And 1.29 Meters In Width. The C+pod Can Accommodate Up To Two Occupants Side By Side And Also Features A Small Trunk. Compared To The Smart EQ Fortwo, The Electric Car From Toyota Is 20 Cm Shorter And 37 Cm Narrower.

At The Front, The Model Features Horizontally Designed Headlights That Extend To The Sides Of The Vehicle. They Are Linked By The Charging Port, Which Is Hidden Under The Brand Logo. The Front Bumper Has An Air Intake With A Black Plastic Finish. On The Side, The Model’s Wheels Feature Full Wheel Covers.

Electric Car Is Targeted At Young People And The Elderly

At The Rear, The LED Taillights Have An L Shape And Are Positioned Vertically. The Trunk Lid Displays The Model’s Name. According To The Brand, The Model Was Designed As A Mobility Alternative For Both Elderly Drivers And Young Motorists.

Inside The Model, The Finish Is Simple, Made Of Rigid Plastic. At The Top Of The Dashboard, There Is A Display Featuring The Main Information About The Electric Car And A Speedometer.

Being A Model Sold In Japan, The C+pod Has The Steering Wheel On The Right Side. There Is Also A Central Console That Contains The Main Functions Of The Electric Car, Such As The Gear And Ventilation Buttons.

C+pod Offers 150 Km Of Range

The Model Comes Equipped With A Rear Electric Motor Of Just 12.5 Horsepower And 55 Nm Of Torque. The Electric Car Provides Performance Solely For Urban Use, With A Top Speed Of 60 Km/h.

The Vehicle Is Equipped With 9.06 KWh Lithium-Ion Batteries That Offer A Range Of 150 Km. According To Toyota, A Full Charge Takes About 5 Hours On A 220 V Outlet And 16 Hours On A 110 V Outlet. The C+pod Is Offered In Japan In The X And G Versions, Priced At R$ 79,590 And R$ 83,090, Respectively.
