“The hospital is collapsed.” This was the alert from the mayor of Parintins, Bi Garcia, when talking about the Jofre Cohen hospital, a reference for treating Covid-19 cases in Parintins. The New Plant Will Serve 80 Beds Simultaneously
The mayor of Parintins, Bi Garcia (DEM), purchased an oxygen plant in Germany with a capacity to serve 80 beds simultaneously. The equipment is being transported in an aerial operation and is expected to arrive in the municipality within 48 hours to be installed at the Jofre Cohen Hospital, exclusively for Covid-19 patients.
On Thursday (14), when the oxygen reached the minimum limit in the hospital unit, the City Hall received a donation of 24 cylinders of gas from local businessmen. Today, the special operation to transport another 45 cylinders of 50m3 of medical oxygen has already begun.
