Company investment projects in Minas Gerais
The company's objective with investments in the state of Minas Gerais is to expand the capacity for the company's growth, the variety and quantity of products and the market served. Tambasa is in full growth and should end the year with a turnover of BRL 5 billion, compared to BRL 4,413 billion registered in 2020.
The expansion project, which includes the construction of three warehouses, will be implemented in the company's complex in Contagem, state of Minas Gerais, where two warehouses are already located. Tambasa received a proposal to invest in Bahia, but still prefers to implement the project in the RMBH. The start of works only depends on the approval of projects, which have already been in Contagem City Hall for six months.

Construction of new warehouses
According to the director of Sales and IT at Tambasa Atacadista, Alberto Portugal Milward de Azevedo, the construction of the warehouses will be done gradually over the next few years and progress will depend on the scenario. Alberto says they have a project to build three warehouses in Minas Gerais. They made a plan for the future of the company, which will be developed over the next 15 years, the goal is to quadruple Tambasa and today it has a capacity of 100 pallets and we intend to expand to 400.
Today the company has two warehouses. One with 60 thousand square meters, aimed at whole products, and the second, which is fully robotized, is aimed at fractioned products. The capacity of both is 100 pallets. In the first stage of the works by the wholesale group, two warehouses will be built. The first shed, according to Portugal, will be completely innovative. The storage unit will have two floors with 45 square meters each and a total capacity of 100 pallets. Each floor will be 15 meters high.
