The Projects That Will Receive the Investments
The majority of Klabin’s investments, totaling R$ 251 million, will be directed to increasing the capacity to convert paper into packaging, with a focus on two new printers to be installed at the Betim (Minas Gerais) and Goiana (Pernambuco) units, and a new multi-purpose bag line at the Lages unit in Santa Catarina.
The remaining projects are spread across all of Klabin’s operating segments and are substantially focused on cost optimization. The projects are expected to yield a quick and high return, and the low investment relative to the expected cash generation from these projects will contribute to the company’s acceleration in the current growth cycle.
