The Maritime Alliance, a California-based non-profit organization that promotes sustainable maritime and water industries, presented this year's Environmental Leadership Award to Aker Solutions and Principle Power in recognition of companies' efforts in promoting offshore renewable energy and its collaborative approach to development.

The award was received in San Diego, Calif., during the 10th Annual BlueTech Week, an international trade show and conference where more than 550 international participants from academia, industry and government gather to highlight collaboration and innovation in sustainable ocean and water technologies.

This year's conference theme was 'United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – Industrial Solutions', with specific areas of focus including Marine Debris Solutions, Marine Robotics, Water / Wastewater Technologies, Workforce Development and Offshore Renewable Energy, a key area of ​​interest for both companies.
