After The Arrival Of New 0 Km Cars In The Market, The Price Of The Cheapest Cars In The Country Changed, Going From 65,000 To 83,000
With the arrival of the new Citroën C3 2023, the list of cars 0 km cheapest in Brazil had some changes. With car prices starting at R$ 68,990, the hatch developed in Porto Real, Rio de Janeiro, now occupies third place among the most affordable cars in the country.
The C3 model line cars are also the third and last new cars that stay below the R$ 70,000 barrier, closer to the Mobi and Kwid than to other car models. According to AutoEsporte, which considered public prices collected on Thursday, the 1st, the updated list of the ten cheapest 0 km cars in Brazil is:
- Fiat Mobi Like – R$ 64,690, 0 km
The Fiat Mobi and Renault Kwid cars have been alternating at the top of the list of the cheapest cars in Brazil. When one of the cars has its price increased, it loses its spot to the other car and vice versa. In September, the price of the small Fiat is exactly R$ 900 cheaper than that of the main competitor.
-
Less than a Tera TSI, up to 710 km of range and charging in 9 minutes: the new BYD Song Ultra expands the Chinese brand’s bet on increasingly faster, more technological, and competitively priced electric SUVs.
-
With a 1.0 engine producing 75 hp and costing less than R$ 70,000, Fiat’s car returns to the podium as the cheapest in the country; a temporary promotion for the 2026 Like version reduces the price of the Fiat Mobi.
-
With a mild hybrid system of 48 V, 176 hp and a price of R$ 175,990 in the Sahara version, the new Jeep Renegade changes mostly on the inside, improves slightly in fuel consumption, and remains almost the same car.
-
With a 293.5 cm³ engine and a range of up to 400 km with a 14.1-liter tank, the Honda CB 300F Twister 2026 has up to 24.7 hp, an initial price of R$ 25,150, and already exceeds R$ 29,000 in the Fipe Table.
Although close to R$ 65,000, the cars in this line have no refinement or many features beyond those required by law. Air conditioning, power steering, power windows, and power locks are the only comfort items present in the cars. Under the hood is the veteran 1.0 Fire engine with 75 hp paired with a five-speed manual transmission.
- Renault Kwid Zen – R$ 65,790, 0 km
The Kwid cars are a bit better equipped than the competitor, and perhaps that is why these cars cost almost R$ 1,000 more. The Renault cars come factory-equipped with side airbags, LED daytime running lights, Bluetooth radio, and start-stop. In addition, the steering is electric, not hydraulic.
- Citroën C3 Live – R$ 68,990, 0 km
Costing about R$ 3,000 more than the Kwid line cars, the Citroën C3 is nearly 40 cm longer compared to the Renault cars. In other words, four adults can travel comfortably in the newly launched hatch. At 1.60 m tall, it is also the tallest in its category.
However, cars in this line do not have a radio or multimedia center, tachometer, key fob, foldable seats, or rear window wiper and defroster. Air conditioning, electric steering, power windows, and power locks are the main features. The engine is the modern 1.0 Firefly with 75 hp.
- Fiat Cronos 1.0 – R$ 74,490, 0 km
The Cronos sedan cars are cheaper than the Argo hatch, with which it shares the platform, most of the mechanical components, and several parts. For R$ 700 less, the customer can get a model with more space inside, a larger trunk, and practically the same standard items. In the 2023 line, the novelty is precisely the arrival of the 1.0 engine.
- Fiat Argo 1.0 – R$ 75,190, 0 km
All the items described above in the Fiat Cronos are also available in the 2023 Argo. The same goes for the mechanical set, composed of the 1.0 Firefly engine with 75 hp and a five-speed manual transmission.
- Volkswagen Gol 1.0 – R$ 75,830, 0 km
The Volkswagen Gol is about to be phased out, but until then, this line of cars, which was launched 42 years ago, has shown resilience in the market with great sales numbers.
The only version available of the cars costs over R$ 75,000 and offers a robust mechanical set consisting of a 1.0 engine with 84 hp and a five-speed manual transmission.
- Hyundai HB20 Sense – R$ 76,690, 0 km
Together with the C3, the Hyundai HB20 is the car model that has undergone the most recent updates. The biggest novelty of these cars is in its looks, which has been revamped to follow a more conservative and less controversial style.
- Chevrolet Onix 1.0 – R$ 78,700, 0 km
The Chevrolet Onix has been struggling with a lack of parts in the industry, sitting idle for months without production by GM. Thus, the entry-level option, called 1.0, comes with six airbags from the factory but swapped the 8-inch screen multimedia center for a conventional radio. At least the 1.0 engine with 82 hp and six-speed manual transmission forms a well-matched set with great fuel consumption numbers. The Onix also won the compact hatches category of Qual Comprar in 2022.
- Renault Sandero S Edition – R$ 83,190, 0 km
The only available version of the hatch wins over customers with good interior space and the largest trunk in the segment, at 320 liters.
- Chevrolet Onix Plus LT – R$ 83,480, 0 km
For R$ 300 more than the Sandero, the Onix Plus offers an even larger trunk and several extra features. It comes with six airbags, a multimedia center with an 8-inch screen, electric steering, sound controls on the steering wheel, and traction and stability controls.
