Equinor announced the investment for the development of the Breid field, with 200 million barrels of oil, a major oil discovery in the North Sea, whose wet Christmas trees (ANMs) and control systems will be produced by Aker Solutions in Brazil.
Estimated at NOK 2,5 billion (approximately US$264 million), the contract with Aker provides for the supply of four subsea templates and up to 23 ANMs and associated components that will be linked to the Grane platform.
The project will be carried out in the units of Aker in Norway, with deliveries from the UK, Malaysia and Brazil. The first oil from the field is scheduled for the first half of 2024.
