According to Silvimar Fernandes Reis, Vice President of the Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining (Sobratema), coordinator of the entity’s Sustainability Committee and panelist at the Trends in the Construction Market, currently, the ESG theme is a matter of survival, that is, fundamental for the sustainability of a company.

This means that they will make this transformation willingly, in a planned way, or forced, which is not positive and more expensive. “This requirement is triggered by climate change and issues of ethics and integrity. Therefore, for companies to maintain their business, they need to be aware of the importance of ESG indicators. Otherwise, if they do not adapt to this new reality, it will be difficult for them to stay in the market,” he assessed.
