Imagine a place where fun never ends, with breathtaking water parks, comfortable hotels, and attractions for all ages. This place exists and is right here in Brazil! Olímpia, in the interior of São Paulo, has been called “The Brazilian Orlando” for its entertainment vibe that reminds the famous city in Florida, United States. And it’s not just talk: with plans for a new airport and first-class tourist infrastructure, Olímpia is ready to become an even larger global phenomenon.

Water Parks That Steal the Show with Radical Waterslides, Wave Pools, and Relaxation Areas

The water parks are the beating heart of Olímpia. Thermas dos Laranjais, considered the largest in Latin America, is a true water playground. With radical waterslides, wave pools, and relaxation areas, it attracted over 2 million visitors in 2023, according to data from the park’s own management. “It’s a place where fun is guaranteed for families, young people, and even those just wanting to enjoy a sunny day,” says Jorge Luiz, marketing manager of Thermas, in an interview with G1.

Another highlight is the Hot Beach Olímpia, famous for its naturally warm pools. “The thermal waters are a unique differentiator. You relax while having fun,” says Ana Clara, a tourist from Minas Gerais who visited the park in 2024, in a statement to the Viagem e Turismo site. These parks not only guarantee fun but also put Olímpia on the map as a must-visit destination.

Impressive Infrastructure with Options for Every Budget

The city has an enviable hotel infrastructure, with over 25,000 beds available, according to the São Paulo Tourism Secretariat. From luxury resorts to charming inns, there are options for every budget. “Our hotel network is prepared to welcome everyone from families to large groups, with comfort and quality,” says João Carlos Andrade, president of the Olímpia Convention & Visitors Bureau, in an article published in Estadão.

And there’s more: the city is planning a new airport to facilitate access for visitors from Brazil and around the world. “With the airport, Olímpia will really take off as an international destination,” predicts Mayor Fernando Cunha in an interview with G1. This development promises to make travel even more convenient, attracting even more tourists.

Day and Night Attractions with a Unique Culinary and Cultural Experience

In addition to the water parks, Olímpia excels in the diversity of attractions. The Valley of the Dinosaurs is a hit among children, with animatronic replicas that look like they came straight out of a movie. The Wax Museum features figures of global celebrities, perfect for selfies. At night, Vila Guarani comes alive with bars, restaurants, and live shows, offering a unique culinary and cultural experience.

“Olímpia has a special energy. You can enjoy the day at the parks and at night have dinner in Vila Guarani,” says Mariana Silva, a tourist from São Paulo, in a statement to UOL. These attractions ensure that visitors stay longer in the city, enjoying everything it has to offer.

Olímpia: A Powerful Economic Engine

Tourism is the soul of Olímpia, representing about 65% of the local economy, according to data from the city hall. In 2023, the city received more than 3 million visitors, according to G1, and the numbers keep growing. “The economic impact of tourism is transformative. We are investing more and more to provide unforgettable experiences,” highlights Olímpia’s tourism secretary, Luiz Salata, in an interview with the UOL portal.

With a combination of amazing parks, top-notch infrastructure, and new attractions, Olímpia is establishing itself as one of the main tourist destinations in Brazil, even rivaling Orlando, in the United States. The expectation is that with planned improvements, such as the new airport, the city will receive even more visitors in the coming years.

Why You Need to Visit the ‘Brazilian Orlando’

Whether to enjoy the warm waters of Hot Beach, venture on the waterslides of Thermas dos Laranjais, or explore the Valley of the Dinosaurs, Olímpia has something for everyone. The city blends fun, comfort, and culture in a unique way, making every visit unforgettable. “Olímpia is a surprising destination. It’s like being in a piece of Orlando, but with the Brazilian touch that we love,” summarizes Ana Clara, the tourist from Minas Gerais.
