Companies can present solutions and receive support from Petrobras to turn them into reality
Entries for the 4th announcement of the Startups Module, of the Petrobras Connections for Innovation Program, were extended by the state-owned company for a few more days. Entries would close on Wednesday, the 29th, however, after the change, the closing will only take place on the next Sunday, the 3rd of July.
How the Startups Module of the Petrobras program works
The project aims to create solutions for 30 challenges presented by the state-owned company. After the end of team, startups will receive an amount of money that varies according to the complexity of the solution presented. The target public of the program are startups, micro-enterprises and small national companies.
The notice for the startups module has a total value of R$ 20 M, divided into seven technology verticals: robotics, carbon reduction, digital technologies, energy storage and generation, corrosion, geological modeling and inspection technologies.

The amounts to be invested in the projects range from R$ 500 to R$ 1,5 million. Throughout the program, companies will receive all the necessary support from the state-owned company and Sebrae, which participates in the project. Support ranges from physical-financial support or even guidance for increasing competitiveness and creating a business model.
The program came about due to Petrobras' interest in strengthening its relationship with the world of technological innovation. The state-owned company mapped the company's internal demands to direct investments in startups. The project also aims to invest in projects that can be successfully applied in the oil and gas industry.
Since the launch of the Petrobras Conexões para Inovação Program, the project already includes a total of eight innovation modules, namely: Startups, Open Lab, Residents, Technological Partnerships, Technology Transfer, Acquisition of Solutions, Ignition and Technological Orders.
