The Rail Operator Is Hiring for the States of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo
MRS, a logistics operator of railway networks, has opened a selection process for 70 job vacancies, distributed across the three states where the company operates, exclusively for engineers. The hires will be for civil engineers, production engineers, and electrical or telecommunications engineers. Applications will be open until the end of December 2021 and can only be made through the MRS website.

The phases of the selection process for MRS job vacancies – interviews, dynamics, and other tests – will begin in January 2022. The company’s forecast is that those who secure the job vacancies will start working during the next year.
All opportunities are for hybrid work (remote and in-person), with an emphasis on in-person activities. The positions are for Infrastructure Specialist and Project Specialist. It is a prerequisite that candidates have availability for travel and fieldwork.

Activities of Each Area of the Job Vacancies
The contracts for the Infrastructure Specialist position will be part of the development and execution of works for constructing tunnels, bridges, and viaducts, as well as expanding the network, yards, and railway terminals.
Those who occupy the Project Specialist position will work in two different areas: in the development, technical approval, and execution of railway projects for expanding MRS’s production capacity in the states of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo; in the preparation, development, and execution of electro-electronic projects, railway signaling, energy, telecommunications, and automation.
Additionally, other activities that may be assigned to these positions include applying project maturity methodology, mapping risks and opportunities for each project and its phase; as well as managing the budget and timelines of designers and internal, external, and construction team interfaces.
Selection Process for MRS Logistics Vacancies
The selection process will be conducted in 5 stages: applications, curriculum evaluation, individual interview, online tests, and/or business case, and a stage with the manager.
Applications must be made exclusively through the MRS website, where the selection process announcement will also be available.
Professionals who have graduated and hold active registration with engineering and architecture boards (CREA) may apply for the job vacancies.
