- In the second half of 2025, the government released R$ 8.5 billion for approximately 14 million people
The total exceeded R$ 20 billion throughout 2025, as reported by the Ministry of Labor.
Part of the funds remained retained after release
The ministry identified that not all authorized amounts reached the workers.
According to the ministry, about R$ 7 billion remained retained after the implementation of the measures.
The government considers this amount a “legitimate right of the workers” and seeks to correct the situation.
The technical team is already working to facilitate the release of this remaining amount.
Caixa must clarify the execution of the measures
The Ministry of Labor informed that Caixa must explain the operational details of the releases.
The public bank emphasizes that it follows the rules of FGTS, but does not confirm the amount cited by the ministry.
