With the Promise of 4K Recording, Operation Without a Smartphone, and an Affordable Price, the New DJI Neo Arrives to Be DJI’s Cheapest Drone. Learn Everything About the Launch That Aims to Make Aerial Image Capture Easy for Everyone.

The drone market has just gained a new and strong competitor in the entry-level segment. The newly launched DJI Neo emerges with the proposal to be the cheapest drone from DJI, a brand synonymous with quality and cutting-edge technology. The major differentiator of this model is its simplicity: it was designed to be operated without the need for a remote control or a smartphone, using only gestures and intelligent flight modes, making it an amazing option for beginners and content creators.

With a compact and safe design, the Neo promises to democratize aerial video production, allowing anyone to create impressive images with ease. Weighing only 135 grams, it bypasses the registration bureaucracy with ANAC, being considered almost a “grown-up’s toy”. But will it deliver the quality expected from a DJI product at this price? We analyzed its main features.

Design and Safety

The Cheapest Drone from DJI Promises 4K Recording and Use Without a Smartphone for Less Than 2,000 Reais

The DJI Neo has been designed to be safe and intuitive. Its main design differential is the propellers fully protected by an integrated structure, which drastically minimizes the risk of accidents and damage, whether flying indoors or outdoors. This feature makes it ideal even for users with no prior experience.

Weighing only 135 grams, it is extremely lightweight and portable. This lightness places it in the category of recreational drones, which, according to ANAC regulations, do not require registration or certification to fly, removing a significant barrier for new users.

Intelligent Features and Camera Quality

Despite being the cheapest drone from DJI, the Neo does not skimp on technology. Its main attraction is its ability to operate autonomously.

Gesture Control: Just place the drone in the palm of your hand for it to take off and start following you automatically.

Flight Modes: It comes with several pre-programmed modes, such as Circle (which spins 360° around you), Rocket (which ascends vertically for an aerial shot), and Dronie (which moves away to reveal the landscape), all activated by a simple button on the body of the drone.

4K Camera: The drone is capable of recording 4K videos at 30 frames per second, offering excellent image quality for its price range. The images are stored in an internal memory of 22 GB, as it does not have a memory card slot.

An innovative feature is the ability to use your smartphone’s microphone to capture audio from the video. Through the DJI Fly app, the drone records the image while the phone, which can be in your pocket, records the sound, eliminating the loud propeller noise from the final result.

Performance, Battery, and Price

The Neo’s tracking system is efficient, managing to follow the user even in paths with obstacles, as it tends to retrace the route traveled by the person. According to DJI, the battery has an autonomy of up to 18 minutes, but in real use, with continuous recording, expect something around 10 to 12 minutes, a standard time for drones in this category.

The DJI Neo can be found in the national market for prices starting from R$ 1,700 in its basic version (just the drone and the battery). There is also a “Fly More” combo, which includes extra batteries and a remote control, but the price can reach almost double.

Is It Worth Buying?

YouTube Video

Without a doubt, the DJI Neo positions itself as one of the best products for anyone looking to start in the world of drones. It does not have the image quality or autonomy of its more expensive siblings, like the Air or Mavic lines, but its focus is different: simplicity and fun.

It is the perfect tool for content creators, small business owners who want to showcase their businesses from a new angle, or simply for those who want to capture family moments in a different and creative way. For the price and ease of use, the cheapest drone from DJI is indeed an excellent purchase and a fantastic entry point for aerial filming.

What do you think of the new DJI Neo? Do you believe that its simplicity and low price make it the ideal option for you? Leave your opinion in the comments!

Boa ideia e deve servir mesmo para alguns tipos de trabalhos e adquirir experiência para voos maiores.
