Preparations have begun for testing the first flights of the all-electric luxury aircraft, which are equipped with huge lithium-ion batteries.

Israeli company Eviation has teamed up with Australia-based electric motor maker magniX to produce Alice — a luxury electric aircraft powered by three MagniX Electric Propulsion Units. Alice is now officially preparing to take to the skies. with its giant lithium-ion batteries!

Alice boasts impressive specs, especially considering that it is a pioneer in the field of electric aircraft, with a range of 814km, powered by a huge 820 kWh Li-Ion battery, which, at 3.720 kg, accounts for 60% of the entire payload. aircraft useful.

Meet Alice, the all-electric luxury plane

Interest in the electric plane is understandably high

The newest electric plane is perfect for short-haul flights, which make up the majority of flights taking place around the world. Air travel makes up 2,5% of global carbon dioxide emissions. Therefore, Alice does not release emissions during trips and, when released, will be the most environmentally friendly aircraft on the market.

In October 2019, Eviation reported orders for more than 150 Alice electric planes from just two companies. Each Alice unit would sell for an estimated $4 million. Eviation initially planned two versions of the Alice: an unpressurized one, intended for air taxis (thus a cheaper model), and a pressurized one for extended flights.

For now, the electric plane is only working on one model, the pressurized Alice Commuter. Alice offers an unparalleled experience, capable of cruising at speeds of 407 km/h. The luxury aircraft has lower maintenance and operating costs. This results in a lower price per flight than a fuel-powered plane.

The electric plane will be available for the first time in the United States and the European Union

Made with composite materials to reduce weight as much as possible, the electric plane will be available for the first time in the United States and in the European Union. As noted above, deliveries are estimated to begin in 2024, with a price tag of $4 million.

Eviation is convinced that “the future of transport is electric”, so Alice will pave the way for everyone else.

The newest electric plane will redefine air mobility and usher in a new era of transportation solutions: luxurious yet affordable and perhaps just as important as sustainable. ” Alice is not a big plane that we managed to make electric. It's a great plane because it's electric,” says Eviation. Let's hope the day comes when we can talk about Alice in the present tense, without wishful thinking and estimation.
