Techint and the work

Project in which Techint is involved also includes a natural gas treatment unit and a liquefaction terminal located in the Azulão field

The Azulão field, a project in which Techint was contracted for the construction of the Jaguatirica II thermoelectric plant in Boa Vista, Roraima, received yesterday (17/09), from the Amazonas Environmental Protection Institute (IPAAM) the remaining licenses for the project .
This time, it was Eneva that received the authorization to build the natural gas treatment unit and the liquefaction terminal that are part of the project. Look here ! Petrobras also sells onshore fields in the state of Amazonas!

With the license that was now missing, the entire Azulão-Jaguatirica project, estimated at R$ 1,8 billion, is licensed, since UTE Jaguatirica II, with 132,3 MW of installed capacity, had already been licensed.
Techint won the R$ 425 million contract under the engineering, construction and assembly regime (full EPC) and the most important equipment on the UTE's power island will be supplied by Siemens.

The natural gas path

The natural gas produced in the Azulão field will be liquefied and transported by trucks to the UTE Jaguatirica II, in Boa Vista and just to give you an idea of the importance of the project, it will be the first gas plant in the Amazon basin.
Currently, the state is supplied by gas pipelines from neighboring Solimões, through the Urucu fields, operated by Petrobras.

Eneva is responsible for the entire project involving the LNG plant, tanking and regasification terminal and ordered the equipment from Galileo Technologies.

According to the company, the plan is to use the same suppliers with which it works in the Parnaíba Basin and with this project the company reaches a total contracted capacity of 2,7 GW, and is guaranteed a minimum annual gross revenue of R$2,7 billion .
