The Project That Techint Is Involved In Also Includes A Natural Gas Treatment Unit And A Liquefaction Terminal Located In The Azulão Field
The Azulão field, a project for which Techint was contracted to construct the Jaguatirica II Thermal Power Plant in Boa Vista, Roraima, received yesterday (09/17) from the Amazonas Environmental Protection Institute (IPAAM) the remaining licenses for the venture.
This time, it was Eneva that received the authorization to construct the natural gas treatment unit and the liquefaction terminal that are part of the project. See here! Petrobras Also Sells Onshore Fields In The State Of Amazonas!
With the missing license, now the entire Azulão-Jaguatirica project, estimated at R$ 1.8 billion, is licensed, since the Jaguatirica II TPP, with an installed capacity of 132.3 MW, had already been licensed.
Techint secured the R$ 425 million contract under the engineering, procurement, and construction (full EPC) regime, and the most important equipment for the power island of the TPP will be supplied by Siemens.

The Path Of Natural Gas
The natural gas produced in the Azulão field will be liquefied and transported by trucks to the Jaguatirica II TPP in Boa Vista, and just to give an idea of the project’s importance, it will be the first gas plant in the Amazonas basin.
Currently, the state is supplied by pipelines coming from the neighboring Solimões, through the Urucu fields, operated by Petrobras.
Eneva is responsible for the entire project involving the LNG plant, storage, and regasification terminal, and has commissioned equipment from Galileo Technologies.
According to the company, the plan is to use the same suppliers it works with in the Parnaíba Basin, and with this venture, the company reaches a total contracted capacity of 2.7 GW, with a minimum guaranteed annual gross revenue of R$2.7 billion.
