Suzano Prepares Two Electric Trucks To Be Driven By Women In São Paulo
Electric energy is the future of transport. With the world battling to end fossil fuel-powered cars, companies and governments that seek to get ahead of this trend will certainly be far ahead. With this in mind, Suzano will start using electric trucks to transport its paper.
The trucks used by Suzano have the capacity to reduce CO2 emissions by 90% compared to fossil fuel-powered trucks.
This initiative is part of one of Suzano’s long-term initiatives, which aims for the net capture of 40 million tons of CO2 from the atmosphere by 2030. The company has, as one of its actions to reduce carbon emissions in the atmosphere, the reduction of the use of fossil fuel-powered vehicles.

Suzano Seeks To Increase Investments In Clean Energy And Electric Trucks
Eduardo Botelho Lotti, who is the executive logistics manager at Suzano, spoke a little more about Suzano’s focus on sustainability: “Sustainability is part of our DNA and this action reinforces our commitment to caring for the environment. We are advancing in this regard in our logistics, following the example of our industrial operations; we have already captured more carbon than we emit, and we believe that it is from a purpose of renewal that we will be able to build a better future,” he emphasized.
Furthermore, the first two electric trucks from Suzano will be driven by women. The drivers will operate the trucks on the route between the Imigrantes Distribution Center in São Bernardo, distributing throughout Greater São Paulo.
