Company Creates Revolutionary Airplane Concept That Should Reduce Fuel Consumption by Up to 70%
Aviation is now a huge source of technological innovation. The segment has cutting-edge technology at every square inch. Technology evolves, however, the design of airplanes remains practically the same. Nevertheless, a new airplane design aims to reduce carbon emissions and decrease fuel consumption.
A new jet concept was recently unveiled by SE Aeronautics. The airplane concept features three wings and a kind of fin, in addition to a rear engine. The idea is that the wings provide even more lift in the air.
The prototype is called SE200. The new airplane design would have the capacity to transport a total of 264 passengers. Additionally, it could save up to 70% of fuel compared to competitors of the same size.

Less Carbon Emissions
All industries in the world already know that they will have to focus on clean energy alternatives. Countries already have carbon emission reduction targets. The SE200 concept emphasizes that it will have carbon emissions up to 80% lower than its competitors in the same segment.
It can also be observed that the wings are much thinner than those of conventional airplanes. As they do not store fuel, the concept features super thin and lighter wings. Fuel is stored on top of the fuselage.
With all the innovations that this concept offers, the company highlights that the product could become one of the most efficient aircraft ever produced. Additionally, the airplane would have a lifespan of up to 50 years. “We will also be able to build these aircraft in less than half the time it normally takes to build an aircraft of the same size,” emphasizes SE Aeronautics.
The company also makes it clear that the dual rear engines will have 64,000 pounds of thrust: “the crown jewel is [SE Aeronautic’s] ability to reduce the fuel consumption rate by 70 percent,” they say. They also emphasize that they will revolutionize the market.
