With Growing Brushes, A Hidden Sensor, and Record Power, Xiaomi’s New Robot Vacuum Promises to Revolutionize Home Cleaning and Elevate the Standard of Smart Homes.

Xiaomi has just taken another bold step in the world of home technology with the launch of the Miija M40S, a robot vacuum that promises to make life even easier for those investing in smart homes. Equipped with a set of innovations including a retractable LiDAR sensor, brushes that increase in size, and even a hot water mopping function, the new model is already on sale in China — and is expected to make an impact when (and if) it reaches the global market.

Next, discover all the highlights of this new super launch from Xiaomi and understand why it could be the most complete robot vacuum from the brand so far.

Retractable LiDAR Sensor: More Cleaning Under Furniture

One of the main highlights of the Miija M40S is the retractable LiDAR sensor, which allows the device to map the home in 3D without losing mobility. Thanks to this new design, the sensor can automatically retract into the body of the robot, reducing its height to just 8.8 cm. The result? It can easily fit under sofas, beds, cabinets, and other low furniture.

Additionally, the M40S’s LiDAR features real-time spatial mapping lasers, offering more precise recognition of environments and more efficiently avoiding obstacles such as chair legs, loose rugs, and even wires — that classic drama of conventional robots.

Expandable Brushes That Reach Where Others Can’t

Another standout feature of the new Xiaomi robot vacuums is the adaptive brush system. The Miija M40S is equipped with side brushes that automatically expand when detecting edges, baseboards, or corners of the home. This means it reaches those areas where most robot vacuums typically fail.

And there’s more: the brushes of the M40S have tangle-free blades that cut hair and pet fur during use, preventing that buildup that usually jams common models. A feature specially designed for pet owners.

Powerful Suction and Hot Water Mopping Function

When it comes to power, the Miija M40S also impresses. It boasts a suction power of 23,000 PA, making it the most powerful robot vacuum from Xiaomi to date. This pressure is enough to suck deep dirt from carpets, corners, and floors with ease.

Additionally, it mops with water heated to up to 80 °C, which helps remove tougher stains and even eliminate bacteria — a function that gains even more importance in times of heightened focus on home hygiene.

Total Control via Mi Home and Integration with Smart Homes

The M40S is part of Xiaomi’s HyperOS Connect ecosystem, allowing integration with other brand devices in a smart home environment. It can be controlled through the Mi Home app, which allows users to schedule cleaning routines, customize the home map, and monitor the robot’s status in real time.

It is also possible to use voice commands through the virtual assistant Xiao Ai, adding even more convenience for daily use.

Base with Automatic Emptying and Versions for Every Budget

The Miija M40S robot vacuum is available in two versions in the Chinese market:

  • Standard Version, featuring a simple automatic charging base, sold for ¥ 2,999 (about R$ 2,357)
  • Version with Self-Cleaning Base, which provides automatic water management and detergent dispensing, sold for ¥ 3,699 (about R$ 2,907)

Both versions feature an automatic dust emptying system, with a capacity for up to 75 days without needing to change the collector. This autonomy is ideal for those who want to keep their home clean with minimal intervention.

Vocês tão falando do Mijia M40 ou do M40S?

No texto fazem menção ao M40S mas o vídeo do YouTube é do M40 e foi postado há 3 meses.

Fiquei confuso.
