“We are excited to be working with the MODEC team again on the new FPSO bacalhau,” commented Sarah Beddor, ARMS Reliability Engineering Manager. “This will be our second project with MODEC on developing Asset Maintenance Management Philosophy.”

The four-phase project will begin with the development of an Asset Management Philosophy based on Strategy Asset Management, which ARMS has described as a critical facet of continuous improvement to ensure the culture includes the necessary foundations for continued success.

“This will be our second project with MODEC on developing Asset Maintenance Management Philosophy,” continued Beddor. “We are confident that this partnership will help to strengthen MODEC's position as a leading provider of floating production solutions to the industry and will ensure maximum lifetime value of its assets.”

ARMS noted that the Bacalhau project will incorporate achievements from its other project with MODEC. The company added that the latest project will integrate its “OnePM” Reliability Asset Strategy Management platform, as well as its Component Strategy Library.

ARMS will package and upload the optimized reliability strategies into MODEC's SAP Enterprise Asset Management system so that it can be rapidly deployed across all assets.

The cod FPSO will be capable of producing up to 220.000 barrels of crude oil per day, ARM noted. The Bacalhau field operated by Equinor – located in the Santos Basin pre-salt – should produce the first oil in 2024.
