30 M² Container House Project Arrives Ready in Estiva (MG), with Two Bedrooms, Bathroom, Integrated Living Room and Kitchen, and Infrastructure for Water, Energy, and Sewage Already Planned for Immediate Use.
In Estiva, in southern Minas, a family received a container house of 30 m² that arrived by truck with two bedrooms, bathroom, integrated living room and kitchen, reinforced security on doors and windows, and finish ready for immediate use. On a plot of about a thousand square meters, the structure in a 40-foot high cube container, 2.90 m high, was positioned to become the core of the farm that will still be formed, with plans for a covered porch, service area, and comfortable use for a couple with children.
The scene helps to understand why the container house has attracted attention in farms, sites, and country houses. Instead of starting everything from scratch in traditional construction, the resident receives a closed module, with planned water, sewage, and electrical installations, air conditioning points anticipated, and an interior with flooring, lighting, and painting ready to move in with furniture. The container house shortens the path between the empty lot and the first night sleeping in the place.
A 30 M² Container House That Arrives Ready in the Countryside
In this project, the container house was assembled from a 40 HC maritime container, with about 30 m² of internal area and 2.90 m in height.

A trick with joint compound transforms a Styrofoam ceiling into a plaster-like ceiling: leveled panels, wires and mesh at the joints, sand, paint, and change the environment while spending little today.
It was transported to Estiva by truck with a Munk crane, already with all structural, electrical, and plumbing work completed at the factory.
The plot, approximately 1,000 m², was prepared to receive the metal structure. After unloading and positioning, the client continues with the formation of the farm around the unit, planning a porch in front, possible side coverage, and external living areas. The logic is clear: first the container house arrives, then the rest of the site organizes around it.
Compact Layout with Two Bedrooms and Everything in Place
Inside, the design prioritizes the smart use of the 30 m². The container house combines two bedrooms, one about 3 meters long and the other approximately 2.80 meters, in addition to a complete bathroom and a combined living room and kitchen area in one compact environment.
At the entrance, the kitchen area accommodates a four-burner stove, sink, and, if the resident wishes, a mini-fridge or compact refrigerator.
An overhead cabinet is already included in the project, and a long-maximized type window ensures ventilation and light entry.
On the opposite side, the living area serves as a TV room or dining room. There is space for a sofa or armchairs and outlets distributed for television, internet, and other equipment. The proposal is for the container house to have everything a small house needs, without losing functionality.
Enhanced Security for Isolated Farm
As it is a farm in a higher and more isolated region, the client prioritized security. The container house received metal protections that allow locking doors and windows, windows with bars, including in different models at the resident’s request, and a closed shelter for the gas cylinder with the possibility of a reinforced chain to lock the cylinder.
The container also maintained the original functional doors on one side, which facilitates the transport of larger pieces, such as the water tank shelter that came inside the house itself.
After installation, these doors can still be used strategically, as the client wishes.
For those who leave the weekend house empty for several days, the metal structure of the container house with bars and locks becomes an extra point of tranquility.
Infrastructure for Water, Sewage, and Electricity Already Planned
Outside, the container house comes with pathways defined so that the work on the plot is simpler. The water inlet is positioned at the top of the structure, ready to receive the supply from the water tank.
The sewage outlets are already separated for the kitchen, toilet, bathroom drain, and sink, waiting only for the trenches to be opened and the connection to the treatment system that the family chooses.
In electrical terms, the energy inlet was concentrated at a lateral point, with provisions for the arrival of fiber optics, as the neighborhood has this infrastructure.
Instead of weeks breaking walls and pulling conduits, the container house arrives with the routes defined and visible.
Inside the Container House: Finishes and Comfort

Inside, the goal is to deliver a container house ready to furnish. The interior walls in drywall are already finished and painted.
Small cracks caused by transport were corrected before delivery, with the paint still drying on the day the family received the unit.
The vinyl flooring appears in the areas most subject to humidity, like the bathroom, which can be washed without a problem.
In the remaining areas, the laminated flooring makes cleaning easy with a damp cloth, broom, or vacuum robot and helps to make the interior cozier.
The ceiling lighting was distributed to avoid dark spots, and external wall lamps illuminate the surroundings of the construction at night.
The two bedrooms have outlets around the position of the bed, window, ceiling lighting, and provision for air conditioning, which is important in a metal structure that can get hotter on sunny days.
In the bathroom, the two-wall cladding, the corner shower with a base of 1 meter by 80 centimeters, the toilet, and the sink create a compact but functional environment.
The idea is that the resident does not need to undergo construction right after the container house arrives, just install accessories and start using it.
Ready to Use: From Truck to Family Weekend
According to reports from those overseeing the construction, this container house of 30 m² comfortably accommodates a couple with children.
In the context of a farm or country house, it is still possible to improvise extra mattresses to host more people on weekends and holidays.
It works well as the main house of a developing farm, as a compact beach or country house, or as support for visitors on a larger site.
As delivered, the client just needs to place furniture, connect water, energy, and sewage, and the house is ready to sleep, cook, and spend time with family.
Instead of months dealing with open construction, mud, and delays, the container house shortens the path to the first night at the farm.
And you, would you consider living in a container house like this as a country home or even as a primary residence, or do you still prefer traditional brick and cement construction?
