The German Association Tested Three Affordable Electric Cars Below €30,000.

In Germany, there are currently only three models of electric cars available for up to €30,000: Dacia Spring Electric, Fiat 500 Electric, and Renault Twingo E-Tech Electric. Other models are expected to be released between 2024 and 2025.

The winner of the comparison conducted by the automotive association ADAC was the Fiat 500 Electric. The vehicle offers good safety, even being a compact, and received 4 out of 5 stars in crash tests. The price, however, is a negative point compared to its competitors.

The Renault Twingo E-Tech Electric ranked below the Fiat 500e due to a lack of safety features, according to the ADAC evaluation. The Dacia Spring Electric 65 is praised for its relatively lower price and better range compared to the other two tested models.

All three models are more suitable for driving in urban areas, considering their limited range. The costs of acquiring an electric vehicle are still considerably higher than equivalent combustion models.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that the VW e-up, planned to be included in the comparison, is sold out due to the discontinuation of production. Currently, there is no forecast for a German electric car to be available for up to €30,000 this year.
