This Thursday (26), Minister Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas met again with the National Confederation of Municipalities (CNM), to reinforce the need for dialogue with the municipalities to avoid measures that harm transport and logistics in Brazil.
The minister highlighted in a meeting the importance of, even with the closure of businesses, guaranteeing the operation of workshops, rubber shops and roadside restaurants to ensure transport professionals “We need to guarantee that when leaving home, the truck driver will have somewhere to have lunch, where to fix your truck and especially that they are safe”.
In addition to a draft decree, the mayors of the municipalities will be guided by the Ministry of Infrastructure through a technical note. The National Confederation of Municipalities – CNM will help with the distribution to the 5.571 municipalities in Brazil.
For the president of the National Confederation of Municipalities, Glademir Arolde, the measure is important to align the actions proposed by the Federal Government and the municipalities.
"It is necessary that the municipalities are aligned to keep fuel stations, roadside restaurants, rubber shops and auto parts in operation".

Since the first meeting of the National Council of State Secretaries of Transport (CONSETRANS), seven states have already made adjustments to decrees and several governors have expressed support for the sector.
