Ilmatar has placed a firm order with Vestas for the Pahkakoski project, located 60 km from the city of Oulu in Finland. The contract includes the supply, delivery, and commissioning of 30 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines. Upon completion, Vestas will provide support for the turbines under a 30-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service contract designed to ensure optimized asset performance. Nils de Baar, President of Vestas Northern & Central Europe, highlighted the importance of the Pahkakoski project for collaboration with Ilmatar.

Ilmatar Places Firm Order for Pahkakoski Wind Project

The Finnish renewable energy company Ilmatar Energy has signed a contract for the delivery and commissioning of wind turbines for the Pahkakoski project, located in Finland. The chosen company to supply the wind turbines was Vestas, which will also be responsible for support and service contract to ensure optimized performance throughout the lifespan of the assets.

The President of Ilmatar Energy expressed satisfaction with the collaboration with Vestas, emphasizing the importance of the partnership on the path toward a sustainable future and green transition. The investment decision for the Pahkakoski wind farm is part of Ilmatar’s commitment to drive renewable energies in the Nordic countries, collaborating with other Nordic companies to achieve this goal.
