The Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) announced the Simplified Selection Process No. 06/2024, intended for the reserve list of tutors for the extension course “Training for Teaching and Management for Education on Ethnic-Racial Relations and Quilombola Issues.”
The course, which totals 120 hours, is aimed at teachers and managers in basic education, with the objective of promoting continued training aligned with the National Policy for Equity and Quilombola School Education (PNEERQ).
Partnership for Inclusion and Diversity
According to UFPE, the selection is organized by the Secretariat of Open and Digital Education Programs (SPREAD) in collaboration with the Open University of Brazil (UAB).
The program is aligned with the guidelines of the CAPES Ordinance No. 309/2024, which values diversity in educational environments.
One of the highlights of the selection process is the reservation of 25% of the positions for minority groups, such as blacks, browns, indigenous people, people with disabilities, travestis, and transgender individuals, reaffirming the commitment to inclusion.
Who Can Apply
The requirements to apply for the positions are quite specific. According to the institution, interested candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Background: a degree in Pedagogy or Licensure, with knowledge of ethnic-racial interactions.
- Professional Experience: work in basic education and/or experience in Distance Education (EAD) projects.

Benefits and Duration of Being a Tutor at UFPE
The selected tutors will receive a monthly stipend of R$ 1,100.00, according to CAPES regulations. The contract will last for up to five years from the publication of the final results.
The expected work schedule is four hours daily, allowing flexibility for professionals.
Timeline for Applications and Selection
Applications will be open from January 2 to January 20, 2025. To participate, candidates must visit the official UFPE website, in the announcements section, fill out the application form, and attach the required documentation.
The selection process will consist of a single stage: curriculum analysis. To be qualified, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 35 points.
In case of a tie, criteria such as professional experience and age will be considered.
The final result will be announced on February 7, 2025, after the analysis of appeals and final approval of the process.
