A Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) announced the Simplified Selection Process No. 06/2024, intended for the reserve registration of tutors for the extension course โTraining for Teaching and Management for Education of Ethnic-Racial and Quilombola Relationsโ.
The course, which totals 120 hours, is aimed at teachers and managers of basic education, with the aim of promoting continued training in line with the National Policy for Equity and Quilombola School Education (PNEERQ).
Partnership for inclusion and diversity
According to UFPE, the selection is organized by the Secretariat of Open and Digital Education Programs (SPREAD) in collaboration with the Open University of Brazil (UAB).
The program is aligned with the guidelines of CAPES Ordinance No. 309/2024, which values โโdiversity in educational environments.
One of the highlights of the selection process is the reservation of 25% of places for minority groups, such as black, mixed race, indigenous people, people with disabilities, transvestites and transgender people, reaffirming the commitment to inclusion.

The requirements to apply for the vacancies are quite specific. According to the institution, interested parties must meet the following criteria:
- Academic education: higher education diploma in Pedagogy or Bachelor's degree, with knowledge in ethnic-racial interactions.
- Professional experience: work in basic education and/or experience in Distance Education (EAD) projects.
- Specific documentation: sending of self-declaration terms and evidence attesting to experience and suitability for the reserved vacancies.
Benefits and validity of being a tutor at UFPE
The selected tutors will receive a monthly stipend of R$1.100,00, in accordance with CAPES regulations. The contract will be valid for up to five years, starting from the publication of the final result.
The expected working day is four hours a day, allowing flexibility for professionals.
Registration and selection schedule
Registration will be open from January 2th to 20th, 2025. To participate, candidates must access the official UFPE website, in the notices section, fill out the registration form and attach the required documentation.
The selection process will have a single stage: resume analysis. To be eligible, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 35 points.
In the event of a tie, criteria such as professional experience and age will be considered.
The final result will be announced in February 7, 2025, after analyzing the resources and approving the process.
