Samu ES selection gathers mid-level positions, temporary contracts, salaries with benefits, and elimination stages for those seeking to work in emergency services, with online applications and the possibility of participation from candidates from different regions of the country.
The Mobile Emergency Care Service, Samu 192, has opened a selection process in Espírito Santo with opportunities for mid-level candidates, salaries that can approach R$ 4,000, and elimination stages for roles in administrative, operational, and service functions.
The selection provides for fixed-term hiring and the formation of a reserve list, according to the service’s needs, with an initial validity of six months and the possibility of extension by the administration responsible for the selection process.
Although the work is intended for units in Espírito Santo, the competition allows participation from candidates from other regions of the country, as long as all the requirements outlined in the notice are met within the defined deadlines.

The process draws attention for the combination of mid-level education requirement, remuneration with benefits, and shift work schedules, a common model in emergency services that operate continuously.
Mid-level positions at Samu ES
The informed opportunities cover four mid-level roles, not three, as previously mentioned: administrative assistant, regulation assistant operator, rescue driver, and tele-attendance supervisor.
For the administrative assistant, the indicated remuneration is R$ 3,241.69, with meal allowance per worked shift, daily schedule, and a 40-hour weekly workload, aimed at supporting the service routine.
In the role of regulation assistant operator, the reported salary is R$ 1,783.68, also with meal allowance per shift, 4×2 schedule, and six-hour shifts in service linked to the regulation center.
The rescue driver role has a salary of R$ 2,540.33, meal allowance, hazard pay, 12×36 schedule, and a monthly workload of 180 hours, according to the information disclosed about the selection.
The tele-attendance supervisor has a base salary of R$ 2,917.52, plus a complementary bonus, which can raise the remuneration to nearly R$ 4,000, under a 12×36 schedule.
Stages of the Samu selection process
The selection of Samu ES includes stages aimed at evaluating curriculum, technical knowledge, documentation, professional profile, and aptitude for activities related to pre-hospital emergency and urgent care.
Among the planned phases are online registration, curriculum analysis, theoretical exam, profile interview, document submission, practical exam, psychological evaluation, and technical interview, as disclosed by the organization for the process.
To continue in the competition, the candidate must achieve a minimum score of 60% in the evaluations, a criterion used to determine continuation in subsequent stages and classification within the rules of the announcement.
The requirement of minimum performance reinforces the selective nature of the process, especially because the roles involve routines related to incident response, communication with teams, and operation in a rapid response environment.
Work schedules and salaries
The 12×36 schedule is among the points of greatest interest for some candidates, especially in the positions of rescue driver and call center supervisor, where the professional works 12 hours and rests 36 hours.
Although the title mentions the idea of “working one day and resting two,” the 12×36 schedule technically corresponds to 12 hours of service followed by 36 hours of rest, not a 24-hour shift.
In addition to the base salary, some positions offer benefits such as meal allowance per shift worked, hazard pay, or additional bonuses, depending on the role and specific rules applied to each vacancy.
The highest disclosed remuneration is associated with the position of call center supervisor, due to the combination of base salary and bonuses, with a total amount reported as close to R$ 4,000.
Operation in emergency care
Samu 192 is a free public service that operates 24 hours a day, based on calls made to the number 192, received by a Medical Emergency Regulation Center.
Within this structure, professionals in phone service, driving, supervision, and administrative support participate in routines that support the dispatch of teams, incident recording, and service organization.
Therefore, the stages of the selection process evaluate not only the minimum required education but also skills related to communication, decision-making, emotional control, and the ability to work under pressure.
Approval, however, does not guarantee immediate call-up for all those classified, as the selection also includes a reserve list and hiring according to the demand of Samu in Espírito Santo.
How to register for the Samu selection process
Registrations must be done online, with the submission of the resume to the official email samu192.pseletivo@saude.es.gov.br, while the monitoring of notices, results, calls, and other communications should take place on the official Samu ES website.
