Autonomy of 1.600 kilometers without the need to recharge. This is the great promise of Aptera, the solar-powered electric car that claims it never needs to be plugged in.

Aptera arrives in 2022 with the promise that it does not need to be recharged, after all, the vehicle depends entirely on solar energy. The solar-powered electric car claims it can travel over 1.600 miles on a single charge. Prices range from $25.900 to over $46.000 depending on options. The first models to arrive in the automotive industry will be called the Paradigm and Paradigm+.

Automaker Aptera Motors is working on electric car models that use solar panels, and for some drivers, that means they will rarely need to connect to electricity. The most complete version offers a 100 kWh battery, enabling a range of 1.600 km.

Electric car powered by solar energy beats the range record of its Lucid Motors Electric Sedan

The Lucid Air Dream Edition Electric Sedan was recently rated by the Environmental Protection Agency with an estimated range of 836 km on a full charge. That's the longest range of any battery-powered car ever evaluated by the EPA, including Tesla's Long Range Model S.

The Air goes about 185,075km further on a charge than Tesla's fastest model. That's even further than most gas cars can travel on a full tank.

The Aptera is able to achieve twice the autonomy on a single charge and without relying on the use of residential electricity.

Check out the main technological advances and features that Aptera has

  • record reach: The vehicle's weight and the fact that it only has 03 wheels makes it light and capable of reaching 1.600 km per charge. Making it a ride vehicle and even travel.
  • Solar energy: The vehicle's roof-mounted solar power can be configured to provide up to 73 km of range per day with over 3 square meters and 180 efficient solar cells designed into the Vehicle's structure. This makes the Aptera one of the first solar powered cars capable of meeting most of the daily needs of drivers.
  • Powerful motor: The solar-powered electric car has a liquid-cooled motor that propels it, which allows the Aptera to go from 0-60 in just 3,5 seconds, with a top speed of 170km/h. ¨Four wheel drive¨ and torque vectoring control give the Aptera comfort, stability control and the ability to handle adverse weather conditions.
  • Adjustable efficiency: tunable settings built into Aptera's user interface keep drivers up to date with ways to save power and extend range in real time.

About Aptera Motors

Aptera Motors offers the world's most technologically advanced solar-powered electric cars (sEVs), enabled by advances in battery efficiency, aerodynamics, materials science and manufacturing.

As a light three-wheeler, the Aptera is the first in a series of eco-friendly vehicles that will be offered for commercial and consumer use. The automobile has the ability to travel up to 72 km per day (at low battery levels) on the free energy from the sun captured by its integrated solar panels.

With just four major structural parts, the Aptera's unique body shape allows the vehicle to glide down the road using far less energy than other electric and hybrid vehicles on the market today.
